Virgo: The Virgin

The sun leaves flashy Leo and moves into modest Virgo. Virgo loves to “get down to business” and concentrate on the details.  Virgo is the sixth sign of the Zodiac and is ruled by the planet of Mercury.

When we think of Virgo, we think of the need for purification. There is a reason why Virgo is known as “The Virgin” and it’s the zodiac sign symbolized as a human. Virgos love to purify things especially the soul. It likes to strip down to the essential and keep only what’s needed to keep things in order.

During the season of Virgo, we want to embody the Virgo energy in a positive way. The energy is all about dedication, hard work, analytics, and practicality. If the energy is used in a negative way, we can become preachy, self-destructive, anxious, picky, overwhelmed, uptight, and critical.

Virgos are also known to be perfectionists which can be an issue if they fall into an analysis paralysis. They want everything to be perfect but can’t make one single decision.

Also, since Virgo rules the sixth house of the zodiac, we want to focus on things related to health and fitness, routines, pets, work, daily organization and daily responsibility. We want to improve on our routines with food so that we can have better health.
