Posty’s Music

“I was so broken over you
Life it goes on, what can you do?
I just wonder what it’s gonna take
Another foreign or a bigger chain
Because no matter how my life has changed
I keep on looking back on better days…”

Better Now, Post Malone

Name: Austin Richard Post a/k/a Post Malone

Birth Place: Syracuse, New York

Date of Birth: July 4, 1995

Time of Birth: Unknown

Lately, I’ve been listening to a lot of Posty’s music. I absolutely love his music. To me he has a very unique sound but there’s some sadness in his lyrics. The sadness of love being is so hard. Take for example “I fall Apart,” “Better Now,” “Leave,” and “Over Now”. These songs are about giving so much in love but getting screwed in some way, shape or form or just walking away from love. This intrigued me and I immediately checked out his natal chart. What I found was surprising and made me like him more. And now, I totally see him in a different light.

Sun in Cancer.

Posty was born on July 4, 1995. This Cancer baby looks like a big teddy bear but don’t get too close or he will snap at you with one of his crab legs. Yes, Cancer men are softy but if you hurt them, they will hurt you back hard. Also, they are always reminiscing about past. Like if the past was ever something great to think about for them.

Anywho, he has the Sun in Cancer conjunct to the black moon Lilith, which may indicate emotional and traumatic childhood or he may even consider himself the black sheep of the family. However, we are not here to discuss that. We are here to talk about why some of his songs are so sad.

Gift of Gab.

There is no need for Posty to kiss the Blarney Stone in Ireland because he was born with the gift of gab. He was born with Mercury in Gemini. This man CAN talk with an extensive vocabulary. In this case he can rap fast, slow, and/or sideways. He’s a natural talker. He can talk his way through almost anything. I would love to see this in action.

Moon in Virgo squares Venus in Gemini.

He has Moon in Virgo squares Venus in Gemini almost to the exact degrees. This aspect is a major romantic red flag for women (Don’t fret. I believe everything is fixable). This aspect is considered to be unsatisfied in relationships. Why? Because there is a constant tensions between satisfying emotions and satisfying desires. One always gets left out.

Also, this aspect indicates to me that he doesn’t know how to give love and doesn’t know how to receive love. I think from an early age he was probably forced to be perfect all the time and keep his feelings inside instead of expressing and talking about them. He wasn’t shown how to express love, maybe.

Moreover, I think the woman he desires is someone who is curious, talkative, slender, and witty. While the woman that he needs is someone that pays attention to details and is always giving. Very different wants and needs. He probably thinks he can’t get all these qualities in just one woman or she doesn’t exist.

Saturn in Pisces opposes Moon in Virgo.

This challenging aspect makes me think that he had to grow up hard and fast. He had difficult experiences with his parents, particularly with his father. Probably expressing feelings came with a lot of anxiety and fear. Maybe even told that if he were to express his feelings, it means that he was weak. Overall, he could be super sensitive and can get defensive when someone unknown get too close.

Also, this aspect produces a lot of loneliness, sadness, and guilt. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has spouts of these feelings often and thinks it’s normal.

Overall, it’s a good thing is that he uses his music to express all his emotions, feelings, and thoughts. If he wasn’t in music, I think he would have a hard time expressing himself and would keep it all inside. He would be a completely different person. His music is his outlet. Rock on Posty!
